Two Robberies Tuesday Night

Rapid City Police responded to a pair of robberies Tuesday night.

In a press release police say  around 11:10pm they responded to the Jackpot Casino at 1415 N. Lacrosse St.                                An employee of the business told police that two men entered the casino and went into the back room and took money from the safe. The suspects then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The two men were described as wearing heavy dark coats with hoods over their heads and blue bandanas over their faces. One of the suspects is heavyset and was wearing khaki pants and white shoes.  The second suspect is average build, and was wearing dark pants and bright blue running shoes.

Then…less than an hour later at around 11:50pm a man walked in to the Loaf ’N Jug at 2700 E. Highway 44.                              An employee said a man brandished a pistol, and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, age 19 to 21, standing about 5’8” to 5’10” tall with an average build. He was wearing a white stocking cap, a black jacket, black jeans, lighter colored shoes, and had a red bandana over his face and white latex gloves on his hands.  Anyone with information about this robbery is encouraged to contact the RCPD at 394-4134 or they can send an anonymous tip by texting ‘RCPD’ and the information to 847411.

At this time, police do not believe these two robberies to be related
