BERLIN (AP) — Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has posted a picture of himself in a Berlin hospital and has wryly joked about his recovery in his first statement since he fell ill with what German authorities say was poisoning with a nerve agent. His Instagram post says: “Hi, this is Navalny. I have been missing you. I still can’t do almost anything on my own, but yesterday I managed to breathe on my own for the entire day.” Navalny was flown to Berlin two days after falling ill on a domestic flight in Russia on Aug. 20. Navalny’s spokeswoman tweeted that once he has recovered, he plans to return to Russia.
