The arrest of 18-year-old Robert Yellowbird comes as the result of a joint operation between the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Corrections Parole Services, and the US Marshals Service in coordination with Minnehaha County and the Rapid City Police Department. The US Marshals arrested Robert Yellowbird at 10:54 a.m. at an address on Signal Drive in Rapid City. He was taken into custody safely and without issue on his escape charges out of Minnehaha County. He was unarmed when located and arrested.
