The City’s Standing Committee on Sustainability encourages education, stewardship and policy leadership to make our community a leader in economic, social and environmental sustainability.  The 14-member committee meets twice monthly and works to educate citizens about sustainability through social media, hosting events and working directly with City employees.  The Committee also works with citizens and community groups who propose sustainable efforts or practices, consults with City departments and serves as a resource to the City Council.

More information on the Committee can be found at www.rapidcitysustainability.com .

Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.  Please contact the Mayor’s Office with questions at 605-394-4110.
