Bond has been set for a Pierre man charged in the death of a Rapid City teenage girl in a Pierre apartment. Hughes County Magistrate Judge Tara Adamski set a $300,000 cash bond for David
Shangreaux, who is charged with Second Degree Murder of the death of 17 year old Evie Maxey. Assistant Attorney General Ernest Thompson requested a one-million dollar bond for Shangreaux.

If released, Shangreaux must remain in Hughes County if released on bond along with numerous other bond conditions. Bell also requested a
preliminary hearing in the case. However, Thompson indicated prosecutors would seek an indictment in the case. Thompson also put social media rumors to rest in tell Adamski that Maxey was not pregnant at the time of her death.

The preliminary hearing is set for December 15th. Arraignment is tentatively set mid January. Court documents indicate Maxey sustained multiple
stab wounds and was found in a bathroom along with a blood knife.
