COVID 19 CANCELLATIONS/RESCHEDULED

***NEW***

RAPID CITY residents:

A reminder that we will be distributing emergency boxes of food at Central States Fairgrounds on Wednesday, April 1, beginning at 10am. A few items to note:

*Please enter the Fairgrounds off of Campbell Street.
*While we will not ask guests for a photo ID, staff and volunteers will be asking for, and tracking, first and last names, household size and will also ask for a verbal declaration of household income as government food commodities may be added to the emergency food box.
*Guests are welcome to visit the mobile food distribution once, every other week.
*Distribution will take place in drive-thru fashion. Please have your trunks / doors open and ready for the volunteers to load your food. If you have non-working trunks / doors, volunteers will place the food next to your vehicle and you will be responsible to load the food.

We hope these distributions supplement existing food resources for families who need extra help during this time of uncertainty.

of our production team, our local audiences, and our visitors to the area. We plan to pick up next year with
our 2021 season and be stronger than ever.

Salvation Army:

To better serve our communities during these uncertain times, we are temporarily suspending our food pantry eligibility guidelines. Families in need will now be able to receive pantry boxes once a month instead of once every three months throughout the duration of the crisis. Pantry walk in hours are Monday-Friday from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m at The Salvation Army Rapid City Corps located at 405 N. Cherry in Rapid City, and Monday-Friday from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army Spearfish Thrift store located at 320 Ryan Road in Spearfish.

Additionally, for the most at risk population, we will be offering pantry box delivery during this pandemic crisis. This is limited to households with individuals who are immune compromised or have high-risk medical conditions and are choosing to self-quarantine; the elderly; and those who may have been asked to observe a quarantine due to possible exposure. Households will be screened via phone by Salvation Army caseworkers and delivery of food boxes will be made to their doorstep to avoid contact.
