Since the first Walk to Defeat ALS 20 years ago, Walk Day has been a moment to mobilize and declare our unwavering commitment to ending ALS. We’ve had Walk Days with torrential downpours, excessive heat, swirling winds, construction and more. Through it all, those challenges have never stopped the biggest force in this effort: You. This year, we’re encountering a new challenge, but we know our response can be as strong as ever with your help.
For the safety of our ALS Community during the global COVID-19 pandemic, The ALS Association MN/ND/SD Chapter is adhering to guidance established by the CDC, as well as state, county and city health officials. As a result, we will not be gathering in-person on Aug 1 for the 2020 Rapid City Walk to Defeat ALS, but have launched the Walk Your Way campaign.
Take a walk or ride around your neighborhood, a nearby park or in your living room. Host a small gathering, take photos, spread the word and make new memories. Let us know what you plan to do so we can share and celebrate.
