Economic Development Yielded Prospects

The executive director of Economic Development in Rapid City said that they’ve been developing some important relationships over the past year.  Ben Snow says that the efforts to forge a strong relationship  with the state have never been better, and have already yielded some amazing prospects….

Snow said there are at least a dozen companies who have come indirectly through the Governor’s Office of Economic Development….

The industries represented include engineering and design firms, firearms companies, customer service centers, and light and heavy manufacturing.

Snow said ASI has begun their second round of hiring and their third and fourth rounds will happen over the next 6 to 9 months. TDI Arms, newly relocated to Rapid City, has already hired 15 employees, well ahead of their projections. They had initially targeted 19 but that number looks to be closer to 40 or 45 in the first 2 years…
