Box Elder Robber Sentenced

A man who admitted to first degree robbery in Box Elder is getting off easy as far as the state is concerned.

The state recommended 22-year-old Adam Miller spend 15 years in the state penitentiary because he pointed a gun at the person he was robbing, making it a violent crime. But the judge decided to give him a chance, because he has no previous violent criminal record, and sentenced Miller to 180 days in the Pennington County jail, with credit for time served.
