Pennington County Deputy Charged

A veteran Pennington County deputy has been charged with reckless driving for a February crash that left an elderly woman in critical condition.
The state says 56-year-old Terry Comrie was on-duty responding to a "serious" call that involved guns, during which he sped through a red light at Mountain View and West Main with his lights and sirens on.
State's attorney Glenn Brenner said Comrie crashed into a vehicle, injuring a 74-year-old woman.
Brenner says Comrie should have slowed down to make sure no one was coming….

Comrie faces a year in jail, but Brenner says it’s likely the matter will be handled in traffic court, with a fine.
Deputy Comrie was suspended for his actions, but will resume his duties at the end of this week.
