22-year-old Ellsworth airman Vinny Santana is accused of shooting a fellow airman at a Rapid City apartment last summer.
Santana was turned over to the military, but during the Air Force investigation, unrelated charges surfaced, including aggravated sexual assault and forcible sodomy, and now the Air Force is trying to determine if it should add more charges.
At an article 32 hearing on Monday, the Government and defense had the opportunity to call witnesses and present evidence.
Technical sergeant Steven Wilson, an Ellsworth spokesman, says it will take about a week for the investigating officer to figure out if the government will add the new charges to Santana's April 20th court-martial.
