Drought conditions continue to improve across South Dakota. The latest drought monitor report show overall drought conditions across 81.73 percent of the state, down over 7 percent from a week ago. Just over 4 percent of the state is reporting severe drought conditions, those areas are all in the southwest corner of the state. Areas reporting moderate drought were down 6 percent in the last week. Moisture from the Memorial Day weekend through the end of May resulted in nearly 20 percent of the state reporting no drought conditions.
