Rapid City Mayor Jason Salamun will unveil the proposed 2026 city budget during a public special session scheduled for Monday, July 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
The meeting will feature the mayor’s formal budget presentation followed by a question-and-answer segment with Council members. While a quorum is expected, no official votes will be cast during this session.
The City Council may schedule additional meetings to review, debate, and vote on the proposal. Under state law, the budget must pass two formal readings by September 30 each year.
Residents are encouraged to attend and stay informed on how city resources may be allocated for the upcoming year.
