South Dakota Gas Prices Hold Steady Ahead of Sturgis Rally

With the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally just a couple days away, gas prices across South Dakota have see just a slight uptick. The current statewide average is at 2.988 per gallon, just slightly above the 2.981 mark one week ago. Prices are a couple cents lower than a month ago 27 cents less than 1 year ago. According to AAA, the average price per gallon in Rapid City is 3.094, that’s down 5 cents from a week ago and 42 cents less than 1 year ago, but compared to Sioux Falls, Rapid City prices on average are 22 cents per gallon higher. Overall, South Dakota prices are 15 cents lower than the national average.
