Western Dakota Technical College has announced changes to its Board of Trustees, welcoming two new members and reappointing a familiar face.
Kirk Easton, superintendent of the Spearfish School District, and Jeff Rieckman, superintendent of the Haakon School District, have joined the board. Mike Roesler, former Rapid City Area Schools Board president and retired firefighter, was reappointed and elected vice chair during the board’s July meeting.
Dr. Steve Willard, retired superintendent of the Belle Fourche School District and former acting president of WDTC, was re-elected as board chair.
The college also recognized outgoing trustees Tom Brunner and Brad Heltzel for their service since 2020. Brunner, a farmer and former state legislator, held leadership roles as vice chair and chair during his tenure. Heltzel serves as plant superintendent at Scotchman Industries.
