The 437 Project, a 437-mile run across South Dakota promoting suicide prevention, begins this week with a kickoff event on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 6–7 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rapid City. The event is free and open to the public.
Now in its fourth year, the run supports the Helpline Center, South Dakota’s only accredited suicide crisis center. Sioux Falls Mayor and founder Paul TenHaken says the project continues to grow, spreading hope and connecting communities.
Guest speaker Drew Robinson, a former professional baseball player and mental health advocate, will share his story of survival and resilience.
