A Rapid City Stevens graduate is one of two students who have been recognized as U.S. Presidential Scholars, one of the nation’s most prestigious honors for high school students.
Announced in September by the U.S. Department of Education, the award celebrates graduating seniors for exceptional academic, artistic, and technical achievements, along with meaningful contributions to their communities.
Bryn Marietta of Rapid City, is now enrolled in the honors program at the University of South Dakota, studying Physiology, Cell and Molecular Biology. Ernest Ting of Brookings, is pursuing Information and Data Sciences at Caltech, where he also competes in track and field.
Established by presidential executive order in 1964, the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program highlights the nation’s brightest young minds each year.
