Schools across Rapid City have kicked off Red Ribbon Week, a city-wide initiative to educate students from kindergarten through 12th grade about the importance of living drug-free.
Each student receives a red ribbon to wear as a symbol of their commitment, with lessons focused on resisting peer pressure and understanding the risks of substances like nicotine, illegal drugs, and prescription medications.
Local businesses and organizations are also joining the effort, reinforcing the message of prevention and support throughout the city.
