South Dakota residents can enroll or re-enroll in 2026 health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace now through January 15, 2026.
Available at HealthCare.gov, Marketplace plans offer comprehensive coverage—with no exclusions for pre-existing conditions.
To start coverage by January 1, 2026, applications must be completed by December 15. Enrollments between December 16 and January 15 will begin February 1.
Free local assistance is available through Get Covered South Dakota Navigators, who help compare plans, apply savings, and complete enrollment. Translation services are also offered.
Officials recommend logging into your Marketplace account early to review potential changes in premium tax credits for 2026.
To connect with a Navigator, visit GetCoveredSouthDakota.org, call 605-277-8405, or contact a participating health center such as Complete Health, Falls Community Health, Horizon Health, South Dakota Urban Indian Health, or Oyate Health Center.
