Mark Speirs Sworn In as New Deadwood City Commissioner After Recall Election

New Deadwood City Commissioner Mark Speirs was sworn in Thursday after votes from Tuesday’s election to recall Commissioner Blake Joseph were canvassed. Speirs, who now has won four elections in nine attempts says has no major plans for his term yet. A resident of Deadwood since 1977, Speirs is a retired golf club manufacturer and has held various public positions.
