Rapid City police arrested two suspects following a convenience store robbery on Friday in the 700 block of East St. Patrick Street.
Officers were dispatched around 7:04 p.m. after reports that a firearm was partially displayed and money was demanded from the cash register. Police were told two individuals were involved.
Shortly after, officers stopped two people near the scene who matched the suspects’ descriptions. Witness testimony and video evidence confirmed their involvement. Investigators recovered evidence from the robbery, including a BB gun designed to look like a handgun, believed to have been used during the crime.
As a result, 21-year-old Arlo Poor Thunder was arrested and booked into the Pennington County Jail on charges of first-degree robbery and an active county warrant. The second suspect, a juvenile, was referred to the juvenile justice system.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
