Authorities have released new details in the killing of a Howard woman, leading to murder charges against a 46-year-old man. Elias Stubbe remains in custody on first- and second-degree murder charges in the death of 56-year-old Nichole Malfero. Court documents describe a scene where a witness reported seeing Stubbe holding a knife above Malfero before fleeing to get help. Investigators found Malfero with multiple stab wounds and weapons covered in blood near her body. Stubbe is being held on a $1 million cash bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 23.
