A 20 year-old Wall Man died in a single-vehicle accident that was reported around 6:45pm Firday approximately 11 miles south of Wall.
Preliminary information indicates the driver of a 2018 Nissan Murano was traveling southbound on SD Highway 240 when he failed to navigate a curve. The vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch, and came to rest roughly 50 feet down an embankment. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.
According to social media posts the victim’s mother confirmed Keith Brummet died in the crash. Brummet was last seen last Tuesday evening and reported missing shortly after 10:30 am Friday morning.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is conducting the investigation.
