Rapid City’s Finance Office will host two public informational sessions on Tax Increment Financing (TIFs) and property taxes. The sessions are scheduled for Wednesday at 2 p.m. and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 300 Sixth Street.
Finance Director Daniel Ainslie said the events will provide an opportunity to learn about the 40-year history of TIFs in Rapid City, how they are used, and their impact on property taxes. Attendees will also be able to ask questions and share feedback with City staff.
Both sessions will be led by the Finance Office.
