State and local officials are preparing for what they call a “once‑in‑a‑generation opportunity,” set to be unveiled this morning in downtown Sioux Falls.
According to a news release from the city, Governor Larry Rhoden and Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken will join local, state, and business leaders for the announcement at the Canopy by Hilton. While officials have not disclosed the subject of the event, the city says the news is significant enough that “people across the country will be paying attention to this defining moment in Sioux Falls and South Dakota.” The announcement is scheduled for 9am mountain time this morning.
