Governor Larry Rhoden has appointed Kevin Nyberg and Charles “Chuck” Spring to the South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks Commission.
Rhoden said both men are “servant leaders and avid outdoorsmen” who will help protect and strengthen the state’s outdoor resources.
Nyberg, President and CEO of Nyberg’s ACE, has served on numerous boards including the Augustana University Board of Trustees and the South Dakota GFP Foundation. He is a longtime supporter of conservation groups such as Pheasants Forever and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Chuck Spring, a lifelong rancher near Union Center, previously served on the GFP Commission from 2020 to 2024 and has worked extensively with the West River Deer Task Force and Depredation Committee.
Nyberg lives in Sioux Falls, and Spring operates a family ranch with his wife and sons in western South Dakota.
