The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating an 86-year-old Hill City man who has been reported missing.
Ronald Deloss Blachard was last seen in Hill City at about 5 p.m. Monday, according to the sheriff’s office. Blachard is described as a white male, about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. Authorities said it is unknown what he was wearing at the time he was last seen.
Blachard is described as very active and is known to regularly take walks using a walking stick. His usual routes include Deerfield Road and the Mickelson Trail, but investigators say he could be anywhere in the area.
There is concern for Blachard’s health, as he suffers from high blood pressure. Officials also noted that he recently arrived in South Dakota from Arizona on Saturday and typically spends his summers in the Black Hills.
Anyone who has seen Blachard or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Pennington County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Marc Davies at (605) 394-6115.
