The attempted murder trial of a Kyle man began Wednesday.
Adam L. Brown, 27, is charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder and one count of being a habitual offender, according to South Dakota court records.
Rapid City police said officers were called to an apartment complex at 20 Surfwood Drive around 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2025, for a reported stabbing. As officers arrived, they saw a man matching the suspect’s description fleeing the building on foot and soon located and arrested Brown.
Police found a man inside the building suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
