One of the biggest explosive moments was the release of “Choosin’ Texas,” and the song has now set an impressive record.
Billboard reported Monday that the hit country music has been #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a staggering 15 weeks.
That’s the most weeks in the top spot “among non-holiday titles by women with no co-billed acts,” according to Billboard.

The only song featuring only a female singer that has been in the number one spot longer is Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
Carey’s song has been number one for a total of 22 weeks over the course of its existence. That means Langley trails just seven weeks for the top spot overall, regardless of qualifiers.
Just in case anyone had any doubts, Langley is here to stay, and the rocket ship is only going up from here for the talented 27-year-old singer.
