The latest numbers from the Sturgis Police show over 800 calls for service over the 1st 4 days of the 85th rally of those just over 50 are categorized as major calls involving accidents, disturbances and theft. So far the number of subjects jailed is nearly identical to the same period a year ago although nearly half of those jailed were locals, which are defined as within 3 hours driving distance of Sturgis according to Google Maps. Areas seeing the largest increase compared to 2024 are drug arrests which have more than doubled, and illegal parking that is pacing 3 times ahead of a year ago. The report shows 114 fewer arrests and citations than last year through the 1st 4 days of the event.
