RAPID CITY, S.D. — Black Hills Community Bank’s 15th Annual Diaper Drive achieved a record-breaking milestone in June, collecting 110,985 diapers for local families in need and far surpassing its goal of 60,000 diapers.
The annual community effort brought together residents and businesses from Rapid City and Spearfish, who contributed diapers, monetary donations, and bids through an online auction. The overwhelming support helped the campaign nearly double its original fundraising target.
The diapers and financial contributions will benefit organizations that provide essential resources for families across western South Dakota: Cornerstone Mission’s Women’s and Children’s Home in Rapid City and the Bella Pregnancy Center in Spearfish.
