RAPID CITY, S.D. — A Rapid City man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after being convicted of multiple child exploitation offenses involving online communications with a minor.
Kyle Beck, 23, was sentenced for attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, attempted online enticement of a minor and attempted receipt of child pornography. In addition to his prison term, Beck will serve five years of supervised release following his release from custody.
Federal prosecutors said Beck contacted a 15-year-old girl through Instagram and requested sexually explicit photographs. He was found guilty of the charges following a bench trial in May 2026.
The case was investigated by several law enforcement agencies and prosecuted under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating the sexual exploitation and abuse of children.
