RAPID CITY, S.D. — Police are investigating an early morning robbery at a convenience store after two suspects allegedly stole alcoholic beverages and one reportedly threatened an employee with a handgun.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the convenience store at 1610 Caregiver Circle at approximately 4:10 a.m. on July 31 for a report of a robbery that had just occurred.
An employee told officers that two unidentified men entered the store, grabbed packages of alcoholic beverages, and ran toward the exit. The first suspect successfully fled the business, but when the employee confronted the second suspect, the man allegedly produced a handgun and pointed it at the employee before leaving.
The suspects were then seen entering a light-colored sedan, which fled the area before officers arrived.
No injuries were reported.
