RAPID CITY, S.D. — The City of Rapid City is providing free motorcycle parking in designated downtown locations during the 86th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Beginning Aug. 5 and continuing through Aug. 16, motorcycle-only parking will be available at seven locations, including portions of the Downtown Parking Structure, Hotel Alex Johnson, Prairie Edge Trading Co., the Rapid City Visitor Center, Tinder Box, FourFront Design, and Murphy’s Pub & Grill.
City officials said the temporary parking areas are intended to accommodate the increased number of riders visiting the area for the annual rally.
Motorists are also being reminded to use caution and remain alert as motorcycle traffic is expected to increase significantly throughout the event.
