RAPID CITY, S.D. – Western Dakota Technical College has launched the Catapult Stakeholders Group, a new regional partnership aimed at tackling workforce shortages across western South Dakota.
Funded by a grant from the John T. Vucurevich Foundation, the initiative brings together 65 leaders from education, business, and community organizations to better align training programs with employer needs.
The group will focus on high-demand industries, including healthcare, automotive services, manufacturing, and electrical trades, while using the Catapult online learning platform to support professional development and workforce growth.
Through monthly meetings and strategic planning over the next three years, participants will work to strengthen the region’s workforce pipeline and help ensure employers have access to skilled workers.
