South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley officially entered the race for the U.S. House of Representatives Tuesday night, announcing his candidacy in Sturgis.
With current Representative Dusty Johnson preparing a run for governor in 2026, Jackley becomes the first to formally declare his intent to seek the soon-to-be-vacant seat.
Jackley outlined key priorities he hopes to tackle if elected, including public safety, national defense, border security, government accountability, and expanding economic opportunities for young people across the state.
