RAPID CITY, S.D. — Veteran FedEx Freight driver Terry Luthy of Rapid City will represent South Dakota at the National Truck Driving Championships in Pittsburgh after qualifying through an outstanding safety record.
Luthy has more than 30 years of driving experience and has logged two million miles without a preventable accident. He earned a spot in the national competition by maintaining a clean driving record and excelling in state-level competition.
The championships test drivers through a written exam, truck and trailer inspection, and a driving skills course designed to measure safety, knowledge and precision behind the wheel.
