More than 5,000 hikers gathered Sunday at the Crazy Horse Memorial for the annual Fall Volksmarch, one of the largest organized hikes in the United States.
In addition to the hike, visitors had the opportunity to witness cutting-edge sculpting technology in action. Near the summit, Crazy Horse Memorial Automation Engineer Joey Meboe showcased a new robotic arm equipped with a circular saw, designed to assist in carving operations on the mountain.
The event also served a charitable purpose. Organizers reported that attendees donated 15 pallets of canned goods to KOTA Territory’s Care and Share Drive.
