Authorities say a stowaway was discovered dead Sunday morning in the landing gear of an American Airlines plane arriving from Europe. The body was found around 9 a.m. during routine maintenance at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. American Airlines confirmed it is cooperating with law enforcement. A 61-year-old Florida man, has been arrested on a felony charge of aggravated animal cruelty after he killed, cooked, and ate two of his pet peacocks. Investigators reported the man admitted cutting the birds’ necks, bleeding them, and later frying and eating them. He told deputies he acted out of spite because a neighbor kept feeding the animals.
