RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City residents will soon see the return of weekly curbside recycling pickup.
Beginning Monday, the City’s Solid Waste Division will resume weekly recycling collection after temporarily switching to an every-other-week schedule in May.
Starting with next week’s routes, residents can once again place their recycling containers at the curb on their regular collection day for weekly service.
City officials are reminding customers to have recycling bins at the curb by 7 a.m. and to keep containers at least four feet away from other cans or objects to ensure safe and efficient collection.
Rapid City Solid Waste Outreach Coordinator Ria Hannon says the City is excited to restore weekly recycling services and thanked residents for their continued participation in the recycling program.
For more information on accepted materials and collection guidelines, residents can visit RapidCityRecycles.org or contact the Solid Waste Division.
