RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City officials are asking residents not to leave recyclable materials outside collection containers when sites are full.
The city’s Solid Waste Division says residents should either hold onto their recyclables or use another collection location if a container has reached capacity.
Officials say trash and recyclables left outside containers create additional cleanup work for staff and take drivers away from their regular collection routes.
Residents are encouraged to help keep recycling sites clean by properly disposing of materials and using alternate collection locations when necessary.
