RAPID CITY, S.D. – The second annual South Dakota Survival and Prepper Show drew visitors to Rapid City this weekend, featuring more vendors, educational seminars, and preparedness resources than last year.
The event showcased survival gear, emergency supplies, off-grid technology, and sustainable living solutions, giving attendees a wide range of tools and information focused on personal preparedness.
Organizer Justin Anderson says education is the primary goal of the show, with classes designed to help people develop practical skills they can use in emergencies. Seminar topics included food preservation, emergency communications, first aid, bleeding control, and building emergency preparedness kits.
Special guest speakers discussed topics ranging from the importance of salt storage to the role of honey in long-term preparedness planning.
Anderson says first-aid training remains one of the most important skills taught at the event, noting that basic medical knowledge can help prevent serious injuries from becoming life-threatening situations.
Organizers say the show is designed for both experienced preppers and those just beginning to learn about emergency preparedness and self-reliance.
