RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City is taking another step toward future economic growth.
City officials and business leaders broke ground Thursday on the future Northline Business Park, a mixed-use development designed to support expanding businesses and attract new employers to the area.
The groundbreaking marks the beginning of site preparation and infrastructure work on the property. Once completed, the business park will provide development-ready locations for commercial and industrial projects.
Elevate Rapid City CEO Jack Valentine says the project is about preparing for continued growth and meeting the demand for shovel-ready sites. He says businesses looking to expand often need locations that are ready for immediate development, and having those sites available is critical to attracting investment.
Officials say Northline Business Park will increase the city’s inventory of build-ready properties and help support Rapid City’s next wave of economic and business development.
