RAPID CITY, S.D. – Families, educators, students, and community members gathered at Founders Park this weekend for the annual Walk for Education.
Organizers say the event was created to highlight the importance of supporting students and celebrating the teachers, mentors, and programs that help young people succeed. Participants walked through the park, connected with local education groups, and learned about resources available to families.
Organizers say the goal is to show that investing in children today helps build a stronger community for the future, while recognizing those who work every day to support local students.
