Rapid City officials remind residents that City offices, including City Hall, will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 27–28, in observance of Thanksgiving.
Service changes during Thanksgiving week include:
- Landfill closed Thanksgiving Day; open Friday and Saturday.
- Normal trash pickup Monday and Friday.
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday routes will be collected one day earlier.
- Rapid Transit:
- No service Thursday or Friday.
- Regular schedule resumes Saturday, November 29.
- Public Library:
- Closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 26.
- Closed Thursday and Friday.
- Normal hours resume Saturday.
- The Monument:
- Closed Thanksgiving Day.
- Ticket and administrative offices open at noon Friday to support scheduled events.
