Rapid City will once again provide free parking at downtown meters during the holiday season.
The offer covers the Thanksgiving weekend (Thursday–Sunday), three Saturdays in December (6, 13, and 20), as well as Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Community Development Director Vicki Fisher said the initiative encourages residents and visitors to enjoy downtown shopping, dining, and events. “Free parking is another way to bring people together and spread holiday spirit,” she noted.
The city has continued this tradition for several years, making downtown more accessible during the busiest time of year.
