City officials are moving forward with plans to replace aging playground equipment at Robbinsdale Park, using federal funds to improve safety and enhance the space for local families.
The Rapid City Finance Office and Parks Department are partnering to allocate Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) dollars toward the project. Robbinsdale Park has long been a popular gathering spot for the neighborhood, but officials say upgrades are needed to ensure children can continue to play safely.
More than $400,000 in CDBG funds have been earmarked for the park. The City Council will vote on the proposal at its Monday meeting.
