The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office will host its second “warrants holiday” today, giving people with outstanding warrants a chance to turn themselves in without paying the usual $25 processing fee.
Self turn-ins will be accepted from 7–9 a.m. at the Pennington County Law Enforcement Center, with court appearances scheduled for 1 p.m. the same day at the courthouse.
Capt. Chris Hislip said the program helps people resolve warrants on their own terms, avoiding inconvenient arrests and delays over the holidays. About 70 people participated in the first event in 2024, mostly for lower-level misdemeanors and ordinance violations, though some felony warrants were also addressed.
Residents can check for active warrants at pennco.org/warrants.
