Rapid City Police arrested a 28-year-old man Tuesday morning following a reported robbery at a convenience store on Mt. View Road.
Authorities say officers were called to the 600 block of Mt. View Road around 8:20 a.m. on December 2. When they arrived, they quickly located the suspect, Michael Salazar of Rapid City, about a block away.
Investigators determined Salazar had entered the store and got into an altercation with an employee over alcohol. During the confrontation, police say Salazar displayed what appeared to be a firearm and threatened to shoot. The weapon was later identified as a BB gun.
Salazar was taken into custody without incident, though police report he was uncooperative and made threats toward law enforcement during his arrest. He was booked into the Pennington County Jail on charges of Robbery, Threatening Law Enforcement, and a Parole Hold.
Police have not reported any injuries in the incident.
