Dakota State University will launch a Master of Science in Data Privacy, while South Dakota State University will offer a Bachelor of Arts/Science in Finance beginning next academic year.
Executive Director Nathan Lukkes emphasized that the programs provide students with new pathways, specialized learning, and career preparation.
- DSU’s Data Privacy Master’s: Focuses on secure and ethical data management across government, corporate, and global contexts. Students will study privacy regulations, governance, and privacy-enhancing technologies, strengthening DSU’s leadership in cybersecurity.
- SDSU’s Finance Bachelor’s: Offers training in financial theory, analytics, investment strategy, and corporate management. Building on SDSU’s economics and management core, the program prepares graduates for careers in banking, investment, insurance, corporate finance, and government.
Together, these programs reflect South Dakota’s commitment to advancing higher education and supporting workforce needs.
